The gameplay felt identical to that of the first one. The action I can sum up very quickly: it’s Borderlands. This past week, I had the chance to play around in one of the Slaughter-dome levels in Borderlands 2, and I walked away very happy with what I got to see. All I know is that I just wish September 18 would hurry the hell up and get here already! I am not one to pour obsessively over these things pre-launch, but it’s cool to see the best path for me to take Zero (Assassin classes are the best classes I will not hear debate on this) when I do pick up the game in a few days.
BORDERLANDS 2 MECHROMANCER BUILD PROGRESSION UPDATE
Gearbox says they will update the page next week to allow for easy reassigning of skill points and the ability to share your trees with others, but this is a solid start for now. The tool allows you to see potential skill trees all the way up to Level 50. All you have to do is click on whichever character you like, and start assigning skill points. Gearbox published all the skills that will be available for the original 4 character classes in the game (nothing yet for the DLC Mechromancer class). If you’ve experienced the Badass reset glitch, let us know!īorderlands 2 will be hitting stores on September 18 (just a week and a half away!), but for those of us that are a little more meticulous, you can head on over to the game’s web page to start planning out your character progressions now. Here’s hoping Gearbox nips the issue in the bud quickly, and that it remains a very rare problem. It’s always a bummer for the excitement of a long-anticipated release to be tempered by in-game issues. This isn’t anything to the level of the catastrophe that is Skyrim on the PS3, but it’s still incredibly annoying for afflicted players. I guess we’re all used to this by now, especially if you play RPG’s. The problem is being seen on 360 and PS3, and Gearbox’s engineers are looking into a fix, but they say the issue is a fairly rare one. Some workarounds have been discovered by players to fix the issue. The big downer being reported about this bug is not only are these ranks being reset, but the challenge progress remains making it that much harder to re-earn those points. These boosts are awesome though because they apply to every character on your profile. We talked about the Badass rank system a few months ago, but to summarize quickly: Badass ranks are a leveling system in Borderlands 2 separate from your normal character level that provide small stat boosts for completing in-game challenges. That said, it’s not surprising this day and age to see big games with some bugs upon release, and Borderlands 2 is no different.Īccording to many on the official Gearbox forums, a small percentage of players are seeing their Badass ranks being reset. Borderlands 2 is finally here, and quite frankly, it’s awesome.
